Discover how to create technology-based activities (including WebQuests, video and audio activities, digital stories and e-portfolios) to enrich your lessons and stimulate your learners.
Aims:
Teaching hasn’t changed, but the Internet and digital media offer exciting new possibilities. . Sometimes called “new media”, this course begins with an exploration of what these are, why they’ve arisen and how they improve upon “old media”. The course then takes you gradually from reading on the Internet through to creating your own multimedia projects and finally to evaluating learners’ work in e-portfolios. It includes practical explanations of how to use online communities, online video, WebQuests and digital stories effectively; and how to create and use audio and video to enhance your lessons. These ideas will help you integrate technology into your practices in a way that leads to real outcomes for your learners.
